Abigail Clayton, born Gail Lawrence in Huntington, Long Island, NY, graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Arts degree before migrating to San Francisco where she worked as a film editor and adult film actress. She appeared in notable films like 'Naked Afternoon' (1976), 'Desires Within Young Girls' (1977), and 'SexWorld' (1978). Clayton also had roles in mainstream movies such as 'Rêve de singe' (1978) and 'Maniac' (1980). She retired from hardcore films in 1980 and was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2008.
