Synopsis
Frank, the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, leads a lonely life until he meets Anna, an aspiring artist who seeks his help for her upcoming exhibition. As their friendship grows, Frank's long-suppressed desires and obsessions begin to surface. He starts stalking Anna and other women, ultimately leading to a violent killing spree focused on scalping victims. The film is presented mostly from the killer's point of view.

Résumé
Maniac (2012) is a French-American slasher horror film directed by Franck Khalfoun. It is a remake of the 1980 cult classic film of the same name. The movie explores themes of loneliness, obsession, and misogyny through its central character Frank, who runs a mannequin store. His descent into violent crimes is triggered by his encounter with Anna, an artist who unwittingly unleashes his darkest desires.
