Uma Thurman (born April 29, 1970) is an American actress and model who started her career as a teenager, appearing on British Vogue covers in 1985-86. She gained recognition with her role in 'Dangerous Liaisons' (1988). Thurman rose to fame as Mia Wallace in Quentin Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction' (1994), earning multiple award nominations. She reprised a prominent role in Tarantino's 'Kill Bill: Volume 1 and 2' (2003, 2004). Throughout her career, Thurman has appeared in various films such as 'Henry & June' (1990), 'Gattaca' (1997), and 'The Producers' (2005). She also made notable TV appearances in 'Hysterical Blindness' (2002) and 'Smash' (2012).

Histoire
John Berlin, a big-city cop from Los Angeles, relocates to a small-town police force in Northern California. He immediately finds himself investigating a murder, using theories rejected by his colleagues. During this investigation, he meets Helena, a young blind woman whom he is attracted to. Meanwhile, a serial killer is on the loose, and John is the only one aware of their presence due to a severed hand found at the crime scene being linked to previous murders. John's attraction to Helena grows as he protects her from potential danger, while trying to solve the case.
