Full Biography

Virginia Madsen (born September 11, 1961) began her film career with 'Class' (1983), filmed in Chicago. After moving to LA, she starred as Princess Irulan in 'Dune' (1984). She then appeared in several teen films like 'Electric Dreams' (1984) and 'Modern Girls' (1986). Madsen received critical acclaim for her role in 'Candyman' (1992) and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 'Sideways' (2004). On television, she has acted in various series such as 'Moonlighting', 'Frasier', 'American Dreams', 'Monk', 'The Event', 'Witches of East End', 'Designated Survivor', and 'Swamp Thing'.
