Synopsis
Graduate student Helen Lyle decides to research urban legends for her thesis, focusing on the local legend of the Candyman, a hook-handed figure who appears after his name is said five times into a mirror. Despite warnings from locals, she begins investigating in the housing projects where the legend originated. As she delves deeper, a series of brutal murders starts to occur, echoing the tales of the Candyman's bloody past. Helen soon realizes that her investigation has brought the vengeful spirit to life.

Résumé
Directed by Bernard Rose and released in 1992, 'Candyman' is a horror film based on the short story 'The Forbidden' by Clive Barker.
