Full Biography

"From her early years in Scotland, Erin Gavin was drawn to dance and musical theatre. At the age of eleven, she secured her first role in a local production of 'Annie', igniting a lifelong love for performance. This passion led her to study at the Royal Academy of Music and Drama, followed by appearances in commercials and television series such as 'Taggart' and 'Footballers Wives'. Her screen roles paved the way for a career in modeling, which Erin later leveraged to establish her own agency, the Erin Gavin Agency.

Relocating to Los Angeles, Erin made waves with a standout performance in the 2009 horror film 'Dread', playing a stripper who meets an explosive on-stage fate. She has continued to land roles in films such as 'Play On' (2010), where she portrayed a ticket agent, and the comedy 'Junk' (2011). A versatile performer with many talents, one can only speculate if her skills extend beyond the screen."

Story

Dread follows three college students - Steven, Lauren, and Andrew - who embark on an experiment to document what others dread most. However, their project takes a sinister turn when they discover that one of them, Andrew, harbors a secret sadistic side. Posing as a researcher, he invites individuals to share their deepest fears in exchange for money, only to torture them according to those fears while holding his friends captive.

Summary

Directed by Anthony DiBlasi and released in 2009, Dread is a British horror-thriller film that explores primal fears and the terrifying potential within ordinary people. The story revolves around an experiment gone wrong, transforming from a psychological study into a brutal display of sadistic torture. Despite being based on a short story by Clive Barker, the movie's plot deviates significantly from its source material.
