Rosie Perez, born Rosa María Perez on September 6, 1964, is an American actress known for her breakthrough role as Tina in Spike Lee's 'Do the Right Thing' (1989). She has since appeared in films like 'White Men Can't Jump' (1992) and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 'Fearless' (1993). Apart from acting, Perez is also a choreographer, having won three Emmy Awards for her work on 'In Living Color' (1990-1994), and has appeared on Broadway in plays such as 'The Ritz' and 'Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune'. Story
