She gained international recognition with 'Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands' (1976) which earned her a BAFTA nomination. Her roles in 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' (1985) and 'Moon over Parador' (1988) were Golden Globe nominated, while she received an Emmy nomination for 'The Burning Season' (1994). Braga was ranked #24 in The New York Times' list of the 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century in 2020.

Story
