Full Biography

Virginia Madsen (born September 11, 1961) began her film career with 'Class' (1983), filmed in Chicago. After moving to LA, she starred as Princess Irulan in 'Dune' (1984). She then appeared in several teen films like 'Electric Dreams' (1984) and 'Modern Girls' (1986). Madsen received critical acclaim for her role in 'Candyman' (1992) and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 'Sideways' (2004). On television, she has acted in various series such as 'Moonlighting', 'Frasier', 'American Dreams', 'Monk', 'The Event', 'Witches of East End', 'Designated Survivor', and 'Swamp Thing'.

Hot Spot begins with Harry Madox, a drifter, arriving in a small Texas town. He finds work as a used car salesman for George Harshaw and takes up residence in a local hotel. Observing an opportunity during a fire, Harry plots to rob the nearby bank while it's unattended due to the emergency. Meanwhile, he becomes involved with Dolly Harshaw, George's wife, who both seduces him and later blackmails him into an affair after he becomes the prime suspect for the robbery.
