Synopsis
Junie Moon, disfigured by burns, her face obscured behind a veil, leaves a hospital with her friends: Warren, a paraplegic homosexual, and Arthur, an introvert epileptic. They set up housekeeping together in a cottage, supporting each other through their respective medical issues. Junie yearns for independence and love, while Warren and Arthur grapple with their own challenges. Throughout the film, they face prejudices from society, deal with practical issues like finding jobs and managing finances, and find moments of joy and love amidst their struggles.
