Synopsis
The movie 'Radioactive' tells the story of Marie Curie (played by Rosamund Pike), a renowned scientist who, along with her husband Pierre Curie (played by Sam Riley), made groundbreaking discoveries in radioactivity. The film explores their scientific journey, beginning with their meeting and subsequent marriage at the turn of the 20th century in Paris. Together, they discover two new elements, polonium and radium, which ultimately earn them a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903. However, their work also leads to Marie winning another Nobel Prize, this time in Chemistry, making her the first person ever to win the prestigious award twice.
