Biographie complète
Zillah Emanuels (1954–2004) was a versatile Dutch performer who successfully transitioned from a professional dance career into film and television acting. Born on January 10, 1954, in Amsterdam, she initially trained in classical ballet and performed with the Dansgroep Helen Le Clerq, touring extensively across international stages. Her early career also saw her as a member of The Twinklin' Stars, the backing group for singer Oscar Harris, and as a regular presence in televised variety shows.
She gained significant recognition through her collaborations with director Wim T. Schippers, appearing in popular Dutch television series such as Het is weer zo laat! (1978) and De lachende scheerkwast (1981–1982), where she frequently portrayed the character Ingrid Gortebroek. On the big screen, Emanuels appeared in the 1982 comedy De boezemvriend, but she is perhaps most notably remembered for her role as "Akademiemodel" in the 1983 drama Brandende liefde (Burning Love), directed by Ate de Jong. Throughout her career, she remained active in theater and entertainment until her untimely death on July 14, 2004, at the age of 50.
