Pernille Højmark starred as Clara in 'Sort høst' (1993), a film that captures late-19th-century Denmark, reminiscent of the critical realism literature from that era. Clara, an aristocratic daughter, keeps a secret diary about her unrequited love for her cousin Isidor and reflects on her life's desires and sufferings amidst her tyrannical father's adulteries.
