Michelle Rodriguez, born Mayte Michelle Rodriguez on July 12, 1978, is an American actress known for her roles in action and drama films. She began her career with 'Girlfight' (2000), earning awards for her debut performance as a troubled boxer. Rodriguez gained recognition playing Letty Ortiz in the 'Fast & Furious' franchise and Rain Ocampo in the 'Resident Evil' franchise. She has acted in various films like 'S.W.A.T.' (2003), 'Avatar' (2009), 'Battle: Los Angeles' (2011), 'Machete' (2010) and its sequel, 'Turbo' (2013), 'Smurfs: The Lost Village' (2017), and critically acclaimed 'Widows' (2018). On television, she played Ana Lucia Cortez in 'Lost' (2005–2010) and voiced Liz Ricarro in the anime series 'Immortal Grand Prix' (2005–2006).
