Mako Midori, born on August 15, 1947, is a Japanese actress best known for her role as 'Yajû Shisubeshi' (The Face of Another) in the eponymous film directed by Hiroshi Teshigahara. The film, released in 1966 when Midori was nineteen years old, explores themes of identity and transformation after a man suffers severe burns to his face. Midori's role was her debut performance in cinema.
