Lea Massari, born Anna Maria Massetani on June 30, 1933, is an Italian actress who changed her name after her fiancé's death. She studied architecture in Switzerland but found fame as an actress. Massari gained international recognition for her roles in Michelangelo Antonioni's 'L'avventura' and Louis Malle's 'Murmur of the Heart'. She also appeared in Sergio Leone's 'Il Colosso di Rodi' and won a Nastro d'Argento award for her role in Francesco Rosi's 'Christ Stopped at Eboli'. Massari was part of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 1975.
