"Juliane Elting, a multifaceted performer, artist, singer, and dancer, identifies as non-binary. Born in Hamburg, Germany, they moved to New York City for dance studies before attending university in Leipzig to pursue acting. Their classical theater career in Germany led them to São Paulo, Brazil, where they spent a decade as a company member of the renowned Teatro Oficina. As an independent artist, Jules' work blends visual arts, pole dance, drag, and theater. They've transitioned into film, showcasing their work at prestigious festivals such as Berlinale, Locarno, Indie Lisboa, and Rotterdam.
In their downtime from performing, Jules works as a German translator. They gained attention for appearing fully nude in the shower with another man in the short film 'As a Whistle' (2011), where they sang together while washing each other.
