"Jodi Anderson, an elite athlete, secured her spot on the U.S. Olympic team in 1980 but was unable to compete due to the American boycott of the Games. She finally got the chance to represent her country at the Los Angeles Olympics four years later, participating in multiple track and field events. Between the Olympic appearances, Anderson landed a role in the film Personal Best (1982), which chronicled the lives of top-tier track athletes striving for national team selection. Anderson, one of the real-life athletes featured in the movie, played a minor part but made a significant impact with her nude scene in a steam room.
