Jewel Staite, born June 2, 1982 in White Rock, British Columbia, is a Canadian actress known for her roles in television and film. She began acting at age six and has appeared in notable productions such as 'Firefly' and its film sequel 'Serenity', playing Kaylee Frye; 'Stargate Atlantis' as Dr. Jennifer Keller; and 'How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town' (2015). Staite is also known for her role in 'The L.A. Complex'. She has a diverse acting background, including voice roles in animated series like 'Mummies Alive!' and 'Sabrina: The Animated Series'.
