Gemma Chan, born on November 29, 1982, is an English actress who began her acting career in the late 2000s after graduating from Worcester College, Oxford. She made her film debut in 2009 and gained significant attention for her leading role in the Channel 4 series Humans (2015-2018). Chan's breakthrough came with starring roles in Crazy Rich Asians (2018) and Mary Queen of Scots (also 2018), portraying Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel (2019), Sersi in Eternals (2021), and providing a voice role in Raya and the Last Dragon (2021). She also appeared in Don't Worry Darling (2022) and is set to star in The Creator (2023). Offscreen, Chan has been recognized as a fashion icon.
