Els Dottermans plays Muriel, a young woman who leaves her small village for Brussels to work as a museum guide and live independently. She rents a room from Laura, who has a child wish but leads a chaotic life due to her mother's hospital stay. Meanwhile, Muriel's mother struggles with her daughter's independence and changes at her workplace. The film explores the interconnected lives of these three women across different generations facing varying challenges.
