Cosma Shiva Hagen was indeed born in Los Angeles, but her persona is notably more enigmatic than her city's sunny reputation might suggest. This is likely attributable to her unconventional upbringing under the influence of her punk musician parents: German singer Nina Hagen and Dutch musician Ferdinand Karmel. According to family lore, Nina Hagen encountered a UFO during her pregnancy, leading her to name her daughter after the cosmos. While Cosma Hagen's distinctive physique could certainly inspire such celestial comparisons, it seems the cosmic connection runs deeper.

Cosma Hagen inherited more than just her mother's musical genes. She also bore a striking resemblance to her mother's physical attributes, which she didn't shy away from displaying. Her cinematic debut occurred in 1998 when she bared her breasts in the miniseries 'Der Laden'.
