"Cathy Cliften's slender physique, accentuated by her long hair and torso, boasts an acting résumé with a singular role that stands out in brilliance. In the 2013 comedy 'Movie 43', she embodies the iBabe, appearing nude within an all-white room adorned with iPod-like controls strategically placed between her raspberry-tipped breasts and trimmed reddish pubic hair. Surrounded by joyous dancers in one version, and a more sparse crowd, despite her barbed wire-crossed nether regions and 'NO!' sign, in another, Cathy's performance is as peculiar as the film itself.
'Movie 43', comprised of interconnected short films pitched by a washed-up producer, escalates from bizarre to absurd. Despite its B-movie façade, it bears the backing of notable directors such as Elizabeth Banks, Peter Farrelly, Brett Ratner, Griffin Dunne, and Bob Odenkirk, among others. Its star-studded cast includes Dennis Quaid, Common, Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Anna Faris, Chris Pratt, Emma Stone, Richard Gere, Kate Bosworth, Jason Sudeikis, Uma Thurman, Kristen Bell, and Halle Berry. Yet, with such formidable talent behind it, the film proved disappointing, earning critical pans and Razzie Awards for Worst Picture, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay.
