Born Dolores Ann Williams on January 17, 1949, in St. Joseph, Missouri, she transitioned into the entertainment industry and adopted her stage name during the height of the exploitation film era.
Her most memorable performance came in the 1971 women-in-prison classic The Big Doll House, directed by Jack Hill. In the film, she portrayed Harrad, a volatile and tragic heroin addict whose animated, "whacked-out" performance became a standout element of the cult hit. Following this success, she continued to work within the genre, appearing in films like the horror-drama Dream No Evil (1970) and the cult comedy The Student Teachers (1973).
