Victoria Abril, born Victoria Mérida Rojas on July 4, 1959 in Madrid, Spain, is a renowned Spanish actress and singer. She rose to fame in Spain through her role in the TV show 'Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez' (1976-1978). Abril gained international recognition for her performance in the film '¡Átame!' (Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!). She has worked extensively in Spain, France, Italy, and Iceland. With eight Goya Award nominations and one win, Abril is also known for winning the Silver Bear at Berlin International Film Festival for her role in 'Amantes'. In 2005, she released a bossanova-jazz album called 'PutchEros do Brasil'. Prior to this, she attempted to represent Spain in Eurovision Song Contest but was not selected.
