Vaitiare Bandera, born Vaitiare Eugenie Hirshon in Tahiti, French Polynesia, worked as a model before turning to acting. She declined a role in 'The Bounty' but starred in 'Tahiti's Girl' and hosted an award-winning documentary. Known for her role as Sha're on 'Stargate SG-1', she appeared nude in the pilot episode. She has two children, Tatiana with Michael Shanks, and Kenta with Edgars Asars. Vaitiare resides in Los Angeles.
