Tamilla Kulieva, born February 16, 1967 in Baku, is a Greek-Russian actress and director. She studied acting at VGIK and directing at Moscow State University of Culture, earning a master's degree in Fine Arts. After graduation, she taught improvisation techniques at her alma mater while active with theater group 'Uzatsovka'. Kulieva appeared in four Russian films before relocating to Greece in 1992. There, she taught acting and improvisation using Michael Chekhov's methods at National Theater of Greece and State Theater of Northern Greece. She served as a jury member at Thessaloniki International Film Festival and Athens International Film Festival 'Premiere Nights'. Kulieva received UNESCO Gold Medal for Arts and is an honorary member of Baku Slavic University. She presented documentary series 'Athens Calls Moscow' on ERT, Greece's public broadcaster.
