Syama Rayner stars as Bastiano Tansu, a mute character from 19th-century Sardinia who was marginalized due to his disability. Born into the Vasa family's feud with the Mamias, Bastiano was tied to the cause after his brother Michele was murdered. Despite being feared for his accurate shooting, Bastiano found inner peace through his love for a shepherd's daughter. However, he was ultimately killed by his cousin Pietro Vasa due to superstitions surrounding him.
