Shelby Truax starred as the main character, a veteran of the Afghanistan war suffering from PTSD, in 'Star Leaf' (2015), a sci-fi thriller about an extraterrestrial form of marijuana discovered in the Olympic forests. The film explores themes of PTSD treatment with cannabis and was shot entirely on Washington's Olympic Peninsula.
