Ruthy Ross, born on March 22, 1948 in Bourbon, Missouri, had an impressive academic background as valedictorian of her high school class with a reported IQ of 142. She studied drama and music at the University of Missouri for two years before embarking on an unconventional career path. Ross worked as a Playboy Bunny in Kansas City and Los Angeles, winning the Bunny of the Year pageant in 1972. In 1973, she became the Playmate of the Month for 'Playboy' magazine. Ross's acting debut was in two films released in 1974: 'Phantom of the Paradise' where she played a groupie, and 'The Centerfold Girls', in which she portrayed Glory, a nude model.
