Nicoletta Machiavelli (1944-2015), born to an Italian father and American mother, was an actress who descended from Niccolò Machiavelli. After signing a seven-year contract with Dino De Laurentiis following an audition for 'The Bible: In the Beginning...', she appeared in films like 'A Question of Honour' and Sergio Corbucci's 'Navajo Joe'. In the late 1960s, she acted in art films directed by notable filmmakers. Machiavelli retired from acting in 1984 after becoming a disciple of Osho and moved to Seattle, Washington, where she died at age 71.
