Nancie Wait, born Nancy Wait in Chicago in 1949 and raised in New York City, began her acting career after studying at the High School of Performing Arts and Carnegie-Mellon University's theater program. She moved to London, attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and worked at the Playboy Club during breaks. Under the name Nancie Wait, she appeared in 'Au Pair Girls' before returning to the U.S. where she became a painter and writer, publishing her memoir 'The Nancy Who Drew' in 2011.
