Melissa Benoist, born October 4, 1988, is an American actress, singer, and producer known for her role as Marley Rose on Fox's 'Glee' (2012-2014) during its fifth season. She gained widespread recognition playing the title character on CBS/CW's superhero series 'Supergirl' (2015-2021). Benoist has appeared in films like 'Whiplash' (2014), 'Danny Collins' (2015), and 'The Longest Ride' (2015), and portrayed Michelle Jones, wife of David Koresh, in the miniseries 'Waco' (2018). She made her Broadway debut playing Carole King in 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical' in 2018.
