Marcia Gay Harden (born August 14, 1959) is an American actress with an extensive career in film and stage, known for her versatile roles and accolades including an Academy Award. She began acting in TV programs in the '80s, gaining prominence with Miller's Crossing in 1990. Notable films include Pollock (2000), for which she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, Mystic River (2003), Into the Wild (2007), Home (2008) where she played a woman who had a mastectomy, and Fifty Shades Darker (2017). She's also known for her Broadway work, winning a Tony Award in 2009 for God of Carnage. Harden has appeared in several TV series including Law & Order: SVU, The Newsroom, How to Get Away with Murder, and The Morning Show.
