Lucia Edwards was born on June 22, 1987, in London to English, Italian, and Slovak parents. Her mother was a writer and aesthetics professor, while her father worked as a fashion designer. Edwards began her acting career in youth theatre before attending the Central School of Speech and Drama at age 18. She appeared in various stage productions such as 'Anna Karenina' and 'Crime and Punishment'. After receiving a scholarship from Anna Strasberg, she moved to New York and studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Edwards also explored producing and writing, creating 'The Power of Love' theatre production directed by Ilmar Taska in London's Courtyard Theatre. She made her Bollywood debut with 'Naughty @ 40', co-starring with Govinda. On-screen credits include 'Borgia', 'Terra X', and 'Zurich Crime'. Edwards directed her first short film, 'The Red Painted Shoes', selected for Best Drama Short Film at Cannes.
