Lorraine Pilkington, born in Dublin, Ireland, began her acting career at age 15 with Neil Jordan's 'The Miracle'. After training at the Gaiety School of Acting, she appeared in stage productions like 'The Plough and the Stars' and 'The Iceman Cometh'. At 18, Pilkington moved to London but returned to Dublin after a Miramax film role fell through. She then acted in films such as 'Human Traffic' and 'My Kingdom'. In 2000, she landed the role of Katrina Finlay in BBC's 'Monarch of the Glen', which she played until the beginning of its third season. Post-Monarch, Pilkington appeared in 'Rough Diamond' and 'Outnumbered'. She married director Simon Massey in 2001, with whom she has three sons.
