Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson, known professionally as Lily James, was born on April 5, 1989, in Esher, England. She studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London before starting her career with roles in British television series like 'Just William' (2010) and 'Downton Abbey' (2012-2015). Her breakthrough role was playing Cinderella in the 2015 film. In 2016, she portrayed Natasha Rostova in the TV adaptation of 'War & Peace'. James has since starred in various films including 'Baby Driver' (2017), 'Darkest Hour' (2017), and 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' (2018). She also played Pamela Anderson in the biographical series 'Pam & Tommy' (2022), earning her nominations for a Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award.
