Leni Lan Yan, known professionally as Crazybarby, was born in Shanghai and moved to Hong Kong at 18. She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Acting Department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Initially training under Jackie Chan's tutelage targeting international markets, she debuted in Stanley Kwan's 'Everlasting Regret' (2005). Lan gained significant attention after starring in 'Butterfly Kiss' (2006), becoming a box office champion and earning Rookie of the Year nominations at Russian Film Festival. In 2011, she starred in '3-D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy', winning Hong Kong's annual film box office championship with a record HK$41 million. She continued to appear in various films like 'Sui and Tang hero' (2012), 'Ecstasy Room Escape' (2013), and 'The Way of Surprises' (2014).
