She studied architecture in Switzerland and gained fame for her roles in art cinema films like 'L'avventura' and 'Murmur of the Heart'. Massari worked extensively in both Italian and French cinema, winning a Nastro d'Argento award. Notably, she played Vanina Abati in 'La prima notte di quiete', a tragic love story involving a schoolteacher's relationship with his student.
