Kylie Ann Minogue, born on May 28, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia, started her career as a child actress before gaining prominence as an Australian pop singer-songwriter and actress. Her first single, 'Locomotion', became a hit, leading to collaborations with Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Minogue's debut album, 'Kylie' (1988), topped charts in the UK, and she starred in films like 'The Delinquents'. After struggling initially as an independent performer, her duet 'Where the Wild Roses Grow' with Nick Cave brought artistic credibility. Minogue returned to prominence in 2000 with 'Spinning Around', performing at the Sydney Olympics closing ceremonies. She has since released multiple albums and embarked on successful tours worldwide.
