Kennedy Johnston was born Danielle Petty in Bellevue, Washington. Her acting journey began at her grandmother's tavern in Issaquah, where she sang and danced with her family members. After being cast in a role by Ron Howard and Mickey Rourke during the filming of a movie on her grandparents' house, Danielle decided to pursue acting professionally.
