Keira Knightley, born March 26, 1985, in London to actors Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, began her acting career at age six with commercials and television films. She gained worldwide recognition for her role as Elizabeth Swann in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' series (2003-2007). Notable performances include her Academy Award-nominated roles in 'Pride & Prejudice' (2005) and 'The Imitation Game' (2014). Knightley has also appeared in stage productions such as 'The Misanthrope' (2009), 'The Children's Hour' (2011), and 'Thérèse Raquin' (2015). She is known for her activism and was appointed an OBE in 2018. Knightley is married to musician James Righton, with whom she has two daughters.
