Kate McNeil, born in 1959, began her acting career on the soap opera 'As the World Turns' in 1981. She appeared in various films and miniseries throughout the 1980s, including 'The House on Sorority Row', 'Kane & Abel', 'North and South Book II', and George A. Romero's horror film 'Monkey Shines'. In the 1990s, she had roles in several TV movies, notably as Janet Gilchrist in the final Waltons films, and appeared on various television shows such as 'Amazing Stories' and 'Murder, She Wrote'. Kate McNeil attended Harriton High School in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, and earned a Master's degree in Special Education at Cal State Northridge.
