Julia Charlotte L. Davis, born August 25, 1966 in Guildford, Surrey, England, is an award-winning English actress, comedian, director, and writer. She won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Scripted Comedy for 'Sally4Ever' (2018). Davis grew up in Guildford before moving to Bath at age 14. After studying English and drama, she formed comedy troupes with friends like Rob Brydon and Ruth Jones. Her break came with BBC Radio 4's 'Five Squeezy Pieces'. She's known for TV shows like 'Gavin & Stacey' (2007–2009, 2019, 2024), films like 'Love Actually' (2003) and 'Phantom Thread' (2017). Davis wrote, directed, and starred in the dark comedy 'Nighty Night' (2004-2005). Her latest series is 'Camping' (2016), for which she was nominated for a BAFTA.
