Judy Foster starred as Lonnie 'Lucky Man' Johnson, a renowned funny car drag racer and the leading driver for his sponsor team Fast Company. He was managed by Phil Adamson, who later betrayed him to favor another competitor, Gary 'The Blacksmith' Black. After losing his car, Johnson teamed up with promising racer Billy 'The Kid' Crocker to regain it and compete independently.
