Joy Esther was born on June 14, 1984, in Lyon, France, to French-Spanish parents. She pursued various artistic interests from childhood: singing and theatre classes alongside activities like football, athletics, and judo. At eight years old, she appeared in Kodak advertisements, working with renowned photographers Jean-Baptiste Mondino and Jean-Paul Goude. From age 11 to 18, Esther acted in films and television productions while concurrently studying theatre, singing, guitar, and piano. She made her theatrical debut in 'Poussez pas y aura d'la place'. At 19, she played one of three main roles in the musical comedy 'Belles belles belles'. She then toured Asia as Juliet in 'Roméo et Juliette, de la Haine à l'Amour', performing over 200 shows from Paris to Tokyo. Between 2012 and 2017, Esther portrayed Chloé Varenko in the TF1 comedy series 'Nos Chers Voisins'. In late 2017, she participated in season eight of Danse avec les stars but was eliminated before the semi-final. Esther married French singer Damien Sargue in Las Vegas in September 2009; they separated towards the end of 2010.
