Johanna Sällström was born on December 30, 1974, in Stockholm, Sweden. She gained recognition for her role in 'Under Ytan' (1997), winning the Guldbaggen Award for Best Female Leading Role. After moving to Denmark and working at a café shop, she returned to Sweden and continued acting, notably as police agent Linda Wallander in 'Wallander' (2005). Despite her tough screen persona, Sällström was reportedly shy and quiet in private. She died on February 13, 2007.
