India Summer was born India Rebecca Moore on April 26, 1976, in Des Moines, Iowa. She has mixed Irish, German, English, and Native American ancestry. Raised as an only child, she participated in track and cross country events during high school. After obtaining a B.A. in Education, Summer worked as a lifeguard and at hippie and jewelry shops. Prior to her adult film career, Summer was already involved in swinging lifestyle. She began performing in explicit hardcore movies in December 2005 and committed full-time in September 2006.
