Gemma Chan (born 29 November 1982) is an English actress who graduated from Worcester College, Oxford. She began her acting career in the late 2000s and made her film debut in 2009. Chan gained prominence for her leading role in the Channel 4 series Humans (2015–2018). She has since starred in notable films such as Crazy Rich Asians (2018), Captain Marvel (2019), Eternals (2021), and Raya and the Last Dragon (2021). Additionally, she appeared in Olivia Wilde's psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling (2022) and Gareth Edwards' science fiction film The Creator (2023). Offscreen, Chan has been recognized as a fashion icon.
