Elizabeta Popovic, born in Slovenia but of ethnic Slovenian descent, moved to Belgrade during the Yugoslav Wars. Despite her background and the political turmoil, she believed in preserving Yugoslavia's unity. However, her relocation proved challenging as her family struggled with acceptance in Belgrade amidst the country's disintegration.
